Program Duration

Bachelor Programs:
3-year and 1-semester (10 semesters)
Total 120 credits, 12 credits per semester (16-week) which includes four 3 credit courses.
Master Programs:
2-year (6 semesters)
Total 36 credits, 6 credits per semester (16-week) which includes two 3 credit courses.
Doctor Programs:
3-year (9 semesters)
Total 60 credits, 6-7.5 credits per semester (16-week) which includes two 3 or 4.5 credit courses.

Vacation Policy

CPT Policy and Start Date

New Students:
Request a CPT start date that aligns with the program start date
Continuing Students:
Request a CPT start date up to 30 days before the upcoming session or semester start date
For both initial and transfer students, CPT can be applied for at the beginning of the program start date

Required CPT Documents

Complete the online “Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Application”
Complete and submit the “Cooperative Education / Internship Agreement” (by both student and employer)
Provide Proof of Tuition Payment (including the internship course)
Submit offer letter on the company’s official letter head signed by the employer.

Offer letter should:
Follow Westcliff University’s sample offer letter template
Indicate the job title, start date, end date, number of hours you will work each week, salary, employer’s address, name, contact information of supervisor, and a statement from the employer describing how the position is integral and related to your degree program

Multiple CPT Policies

Students can have two part time positions, or one full time position and one part time position

CPT Application Deadline

For new students, the deadline is the Monday of the Week 2.
