Program Duration

Bachelor’s Program: Total 120 credits, 6 credits per semester which includes two 3-credit courses (15-weeks) per semester and 1 credits CPT course/Foundation Course will be avaliable.
Master’s program: Total 36 credits, 6 credits per semester which includes two 3-credit courses (15-weeks) per semester and 1 credits CPT course/Foundation Course will be avaliable.
Certificate’s program: Total 18 credits, 7 credits per semester which includes two 3-credit courses (15-weeks) per semester and 1 credits CPT course/Foundation Course will be avaliable.

Vacation Policy

Bacherlor’s program: Two or three days per week starting at 8:30 AM. (The specific onsite schedule will depend on the programs)

Master’s program (The rest of the master’s program): One Weekday per month from 10am to 9pm

CPT Application Renewal

Required CPT Documents

Check your admissions portal
Ensure all admissions requirements are uploaded, tuition is paid, and full course registration is confirmed. You must have your class schedule before applying.
Prepare and email the following four (4) required documents in PDF format (no image files or Word documents):
CPT Instructions
Job offer letter: Must be on company letterhead, include job title, duties (related to your major), start and end dates (same as each semester), and be signed by your supervisor with contact information.
I-94 form: A copy of your I-94 showing your visa status. 
F-1 CPT Request Form: Complete all fields, include course code KG 690, and sign on the second page.
Graduate Professional Experience Form: Completed and signed by your employer.
Approval Process
Once you’ve submitted all required documents, I will obtain approval from the Deans, enroll you in the internship course (KG 690), and forward your application to Career Services DSO for employment verification. After approval and SEVIS updates, you will receive an email when your I-20 is ready.

More than one job at Monroe College is never guaranteed.

CPT Application Deadline

For new students, the deadline is the Monday of the Week 4.
